Hi 'My problem is very very slow attachment downloads on Mac mail 4.5 and overall internet access poor' (ok, internet may be a tough discussion). I have a Mac Book Pro recently bought but download seems to be very slow on this computer.

Excel 2008 for mac don't open blank workbook. Is there any way to keep Excel (2008) from opening a workbook at startup? The startup folder is empty, and I have no alternate startup folder. I just don't want a blank workbook to open when I start up. It's usually just an annoyance.

We are using office 365 subscription for my company and are having few users who uses the O365 client version office 2016 and outlook on their mac. Randomly we are facing issue with outlook email client is unable to download attachments in the emails and throws error -17890. What happens after this is user is unable to open, forward, reply, reply to all for that email. We have checked and updated the outlook version to the latest 15.30 (170107) OS X 10.12. We have created a new profile for the user but still the issue persists. We also have observed the issue happening within the office premise and in open network at home.

Team - this is happening with the C-level management of the company and is frustrating to them. This is not happening on the OWA and on hand held devices so clearly looks like the issue with the structure of Mac office 2016 mail client.

Please suggest the resolution as contacting the MS support we only getting one answer that this is known issue with global users for mac office 2016 and only work around to them is to open any such incident emails on online version of outlook. Thanks, Amit Parmar.

Hi Amit, Does the issue happen to all Mac users with the same Outlook version? Please do the following settings to narrow down the issue: • From Finder, open the Applications folder. • Ctrl+click or right-click Microsoft Outlook, and then click Show Package Contents. • Open Contents > SharedSupport, and then double-click Outlook Profile Manager. • Click the Create a new profile button, and then type a name for the new profile. • Click the profile that you want, click Set the default profile, and then click Set as Default.

Restart Outlook for this change to take effect. • If the issue persists, please use a different user account to test Outlook: • If all fail to work, try to troubleshoot Office 2016 for Mac issues by completely uninstalling before you reinstall: Regards, Winnie Liang Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help.
