• 39 Answers SOURCE: As far as I remember WD just copies the software into the PassPort drives and you don't have to install anything you can just run the software from the drive. If that is still the case then first take a backup of that software (basically copy that software folder to some place in your internal drives) then format the drive (make sure you select NTFS as the file system for the drive when formatting).
