Westwood Games For Mac

Westwood Games For Mac Rating: 4,5/5 5490 votes

I received the First Decade pack as a gift this week and installed the games fine on my month old Windows 8 desktop. I downloaded the shared internet components needed to play online also registered my game and a nickname/password on XWIS. Red Alert 2 plays perfectly well in the normal game, but when I go to Internet and Custom Match to play online, the game gets stuck on 'Connecting to Westwood Online' and will not do anything from there. I'm thinking the problem is internet permissions such as the windows that come up saying 'block/allow' for new programs. I haven't seen this in relation to the First Decade pack or RA2 and I'm not too familiar with Windows 8, so I'm not sure where I would change the settings to allow the program to go through. Hopefully this has a simple solution. Help me out please.

I can't play red alert 2 online.

Command & Conquer (a.k.a. Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn or simply C&C/C&C1; the game is also often unofficially called Command & Conquer 64 for the Nintendo 64 port) is a 1995 real-time strategy video game produced by Westwood Studios for MS-DOS and released internationally by Virgin Interactive. It was the first of twelve games to date to be released under the title Command & Conquer; six subsequent titles having since continued the story set as sequels with one acting as a prequel, along with the production of several spin-off games. Met with universal acclaim by consumers and critics, Command & Conquer was released for seven separate platforms along with becoming the initiator of the Command & Conquer franchise, and today generally is considered as the title which originally defined and popularized the modern real-time strategy genre. We've been somewhat quiet this year. A peek at our however reveals that despite our laziness with writing news posts, we haven't been just idling; we've released 11 updates this year.

These updates have focused more on improving and optimizing the game engine, balance, and our existing content rather than pumping out new maps and missions. We are, however, also working on new playable content that we hope to release with an update closer to Christmas. But let's first go over the most important changes in our smaller updates this year.
