Feb 20, 2017 - Kodi, the open source media player, is a hugely popular option for users across a variety of different mediums – iOS, Android, Mac, PC. Kodi for OS X runs natively on Mac OS X. OS X for Mac computers from Apple can provide hardware video decoding for H.264 and MPEG-2 video, though most CPUs are able to software decode other formats in 1080 as well. Macs can use the Apple TV remote, among others, for control of Kodi.

Before you begin - protect yourself I recommend Private Internet Access (PIA), a well-priced ($3.33 a month if you pay for a year) VPN to secure and encrypt your internet activity. If you're after a little more than just 'out of the box' functionality, you could try giving yourself the ability to using the TV Player app. If that's not enough for you, it's time to give a whirl. It'll give you access to all of the amazing add ons that a world of awesome developers has created. It'll also allow you to connect to your home network and stream your movies and TV shows directly through your Fire Stick.
