Visio is the most conspicuous example of a program that I found useful on Windows for which I have not identified a Mac-compatible replacement. Visio's primary function is as a flowchart diagramming tool.

What is the alternative of ms Visio for Mac? You can try something called Lucidchart. It is a design diagram tool. You can subscribe for Lucidchart at $9.95 / month for personal use and $2.00-$5.00 user / month for team use. Also, you can use OmniGraffle for Mac. It has features similar to MS Visio and works well with Mac.
It is available for download from Mac Apple Store. The trial mode is available for 14 days without a license. Upon expiry you will have to purchase a license version from the App Store. Mac OS X v10.6.8 or higher version should be available for installation of OmniGraffle.
