Canon have junked my otherwise healthy Canoscan now that Apple has downgraded to Mavericks. Vuescan doesn't work; I hope I haven't got it wrong, but Vuescan seems to require Canon drivers to make it work. My iMac doesn't want anything to do with the Canon CD.
I have grown fond of my Canoscan and am reluctant to let it go! I'm one fuming bunny too. A decent scanner costs a fortune and there's plenty of life in the 8400f.
