Hi everybody! I'm using a MacBook Air with the last update (Mac OS High Sierra, version 10.13.2) and I'm experiencing problems with the drag and drop function. I've always done it with no problem, but since I updated to the last version I seem to be unable to do it: I can mark the item to drag with no difficulty, but when I go to the other location to drop it (I tried it with different locations), it says it's dragging it, making the usual sound, but eventually says it's unable to drop the item.

User cannot drag & drop addresses between To, CC and BCC fields when creating new message. It doesn't matter if it is new email nor reply. Drag and drop emails and attachments in Outlook 2016 does not work. This is a most annoying problem for my users that have it (including me). I just got the Anniversary Update yesterday.

I repeat: the error message doesn't say that the item is no longer visible, but that the release was unsuccessful. (sorry if I don't write the exact words: I'm using the laptop in Italian. But you know what I mean!).

Cheers, Clara Forum: • User Options • or to post comments. Greetings I can confirm drag and drop is not working consistently as expected. I selected an item from my downloads folder (vo+,) and then dropped it on the desktop (VO+.). Voiceover reported that the item was 'no longer available for drag and drop'. I then repeated the same procedure with an RTF file (it was the iTunes user agreement), and, it worked like it was supposed to. Not sure, can you tell me what kind of file you were trying to drag and drop?

I am using Win 7 Pro on a new (2 months old) Lenovo desktop and a Logitech mouse and keyboard, both wireless. Abruptly about ten days ago, my mouse started working strangely when I drag and drop; acts like it can't 'hold on to' items I want to move. This is especially noticeable in MS Outlook, and in a MS solitaire game.

At first, I thought this was only the case in Outlook, with the issue in the game showing up a day or two later. I tried virus scans and Norton Power Eraser, but no issues were found. This evening, I tried the right click + Esc; this works, but after a few seconds, mouse is right back to misbehaving. This is very frustrating when one is working in Outlook, but also takes all the joy out of trying to play a game. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thank you for any help you may be able to provide! The Escape key solution doesn't work for me.

It has no effect on the drag and drop failure. I also tried the microsoft suggestion (uninstall both keyboard and mouse drivers and reboot) - that had no effect either. I am thinking I will have to re-install windows 7 since I don't have a backup ready to drop in. Is there any other solution?

This happened all of a sudden after a couple of years of using windows 7 - a big mystery. I have two mice, both used to work fine (Adesso keyboard mouse/ Kensington 4-button mouse), and both don't work. One thing does work, though - I have an old win98 32-bit program (Thumbsplus) which is like explorer but it is designed to show photos and gifs, and it DOES still work with the copy, move and other 'explorer-like' functions, so, I know it isn't in windows 7 inability to do copy or move.
